Who are we?
Why transhumanism and AI?
Transhumanism and AI raise unprecedented regulatory challenges.
Have you ever wondered whether your employer could implant a chip in your arm instead of using magnetic access cards to your office? Or if aging were simply a disease – treatable, covered by health care providers? Is it legal and ethical that an artificial intelligence approves or denies your mortgage, without any human intervention in the decision-making process?
Scientific and technological developments are advancing at an unprecedented pace. The issues they stir up are difficult to foresee, yet inevitable. ThinkH+ proposes to address these challenges.
Sciences Po Law School Clinic
ThinkH+ was incubated at the Sciences Po Law School Clinic’s program on Corporate Social Responsibility. The Clinic is an experiential learning program built around a contextual, interdisciplinary and reflective approach to the contemporary practice of law. It enables students and partner organizations to engage in cutting-edge public interest and social innovation projects at the local, national and global scale. The Clinic’s pedagogical and public interest mission relies on the active involvement of faculty, students and partner organizations in projects related to current social justice issues, such as Corporate Social Responsibility.
ThinkH+ originates in a project tasked with creating a multidisciplinary think tank on human enhancement based at Sciences Po. Our purpose is not only to research the issue but also to bring together relevant stakeholders from different backgrounds and countries.
The Sciences Po Law School Clinic is an original educational program hosted by the Sciences Po Law School in Paris. An experiential learning program built around a contextual, interdisciplinary and reflective approach to the contemporary practice of law, it enables students and partner organizations to engage in cutting edge public interest and social innovation projects at the local, national and global scale. The clinic’s pedagogical and public interest mission relies on the active involvement of faculty, students and partner organizations in projects related to current social justice issues.
This ThinkH+ project was initiated and driven by Emmanuel Lulin, Chief Ethics Officer at l’Oréal, and tutored by Christopher Baker, lawyer and assistant professor.
